work of heart?

work of heart?

On one of our really rainy days in June, Camille and I went to the Walker Art Museum to catch the last of the Hoper exhibit.

Afterwards, we roamed around to check out a couple other exhibits – one in particular had some modern Art using old period dated items.  This image was one of them – the only reason I found it interesting is the ashtray was shaped as a heart.

Although, I must admit the coolest and most impressive exhibit was a film called “The Clock” by Christian Marclay

Called “an abundant, magnificent work” (Financial Times) and “utterly transfixing” (Huffington Post), Christian Marclay’s The Clock unfolds on the screen in real time as a 24-hour montage sampling thousands of excerpts from the history of film that indicate the passage of time.

Don’t miss a rare opportunity to view sections of the work that take place in the late-night, overnight, and early morning hours as The Clock runs through its complete cycle.

It was crazy – every minute showed another clip from rare footage of a movie or TV show – where in the clip it was the exact time it was when U are watching it.  Very clever.  Even though Camille and I didn’t stay and watch the entire film – which is 24 hours long – I told Camille we will wait till it’s out on DVD.   …lol 🙂
