Was watching Netflix’s new season of Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in cars getting coffee” whom he sat and had coffee with the great comedian legend, Jerry Lewis.
What a great episode and tribute to this king of comedy. As we all know, Lewis was more then a comedian, he was also a humanitarian with a huge huge heart! Always doing for others!
I recall every Labor Day weekend up at our family cabin – watching Jerry work his audience relentlessly for 21 and 1/2 hours. His efforts raised a total of $2.45 billion from 1966 to 2009!
I truly enjoyed watching Seinfeld – a king of comedy in his own right – interview one of his idols, Jerry Lewis. During the interview, I noticed the birth mark/age spot on Lewis’s face – it is shaped as a heart.
It’s sad to see an individual that gave so much of themselves to better the lives of others – pass on.
All we can do to properly honor them, is to selflessly do more ourselves.
