Heart of Gold
When in NY, Jim Badzin and I went to meet with a friend of his Mr. deRothschild. As we were talking I noticed a sideways heart on this gold rock sitting on his conference table – apparently this is what real gold looks like in its raw form.
I explained of how I have this website seeinghearts and asked if it was OK to turn it sideways, so that the heart would be upright when I took the photo. However, after reviewing the sideways photo I wasn’t pleased with how the overall rock looked, so I placed it back upright and took another photo.
That is when I noticed all the gold dust and flakes that fell off the rock from touching and turning it. U can see the dust/flakes in this photo.
I quickly apologized for the mess I made on his table. Mr. deRothschild, replied “no apologies necessary, there’s plenty more where that came from”. I asked if he wanted me to clean it up, and he replied, “let’s leave it as a tip for the cleaners”.
Shortly there after Mr. deRothschild suggested I take photos of the other heart related items (paintings) he had in his office. I accepted his offer and will be posting those images tomorrow and the day after.
Speaking of a “heart of gold”, my family lost Steve Boldt yesterday – a remarkable man, father and friend – we will all miss him dearly.
Our ♥’s are with U Donna, Brenda, Scott, Kevin and all the grandchildren!!
