Coincidental Heart Walk

Coincidental Heart Walk

The other night it was so nice I decided to go for a walk and ironically I had stated this out loud “it’s so nice out, I think I’ll go for a walk”, Buckles heard “walk” and flipped out. So, guess who came with…  He was ecstatic considering we already went on his walk earlier.

As we went around the corner, a car quickly pulled over alongside us.  I realized it was my friend Christi and her two beautiful children.  She said, “I am glad we saw U, I have the book I borrowed from U”.  I thought what a strange coincidence, here I am on a walk and she see’s me as she drives by and, just earlier that day I was wondering when I was going to get “Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah” back, so I could give it to Savannah to read.

Buckles and I then proceeded with our walk with book in hand.  As I was walking I found this pink flower petal shaped as a heart, grabbed the phone out to snap a photo (sorry so blurry – darn hands shake!).  We walked about another block when I found this little vine on the ground that looked like a heart even though it had a little empty space on the side. I liked it and took another photo.

Apparently, all these stops were starting to bother Buckles – I had to remind him this wasn’t his walk – this is an extra walk – after I said that he sat down.  I laughed and told him “good boy”.  Again, hands were shaky and carrying the book was no help.  After taking 6 or 7 shots of this heart we moved on home. Good thing though it was starting to get dark.

As we were approaching home, about a half a block away, Savannah and Garrett were driving by. Apparently Garrett had not seen the heart light so Savannah was driving him past the house on the way back to her moms and she told Garrett “No lights on inside, it doesn’t look like my dad is home” and just then she seen us walking. And she said to me, “that is so weird, we are driving by thinking U were not home and here U are.  What’s that in your hands?” i replied, “it’s the book I wanted U to read”.

Buckles and I went in the house and I noticed all the pink petal pictures were blurry.  As U can see I picked the best one and stuck it into the other heart photo. Then I started second guessing the second photo and noticed a smaller heart rock slightly above it to the right.  What a night of strange coincidences, everything happened as it needed to, all the pieces simply came together and worked out.  What a great idea to take a walk – I’m sure Buckles agrees!
