A week or so ago, I placed a pile of birch wood in the newly cleaned fire place in our upstairs living room. Savannah was home from college this week – an early Spring break.  And, she loves building and having fires in the living room – so she can snuggle up next to Buckles.  Within minutes of being home, she notices how clean the fire place is and the heart knot shape on the top piece of wood.
