A hidden heart

A hidden heart

Last Fall, Leo and I were out for a walk when we came across this tree.  We must have walked down this block and past this tree, a thousand times over the past 9 years.  Not once, did I ever see this heart at the bottom of the trunk. I believe it went unseen, considering it is positioned on the opposite side of the tree, from the direction we would always walk. The reason I noticed it on this day…  Leo wouldn’t move and was too busy...

…the wind blew in

…the wind blew in

On a windy early evening last September, I was sitting on the couch watching the Nightly News – when I noticed out of the corner of my eye, a leaf sporadically flying around outside. Cranberry Heart

Cranberry Heart

Christmas Eve 2017, I was sitting next to Ann while we ate dinner.  Because I’m nosy, I looked over at Ann’s plate, and quickly yelled out, “don’t move” to prevent her from lifting her fork any further. A brush of paint

A brush of paint

While painting last September, I went to set the paint tray down to refill it.  As I did, the wet brush I had in my hand made contact with side of the tray. I quickly looked down to see if I missed the counter.  In fact,  I found how the brush of wet white paint was perfectly positioned with some old green paint, to make a heart....

Size matters

Size matters

January 2013, Todd and I were walking Leo and Musti at the dog park – when I glanced down to find this little perfect gem (heart leaf) – preserved in ice within a small frozen boot print. The heart leaf was about the size of a pencil eraser.  If it was any smaller there is a good chance, maybe I would have never even seen it. When I stopped walking to take pic, I pointed it out to Todd – he looked and said “where?”...
