Boulder Love

Brett and I went on a double date on Saturday with our girls – Maddy and Tracy.

We started out the day with a hike at the land in Prescott, WI – this consisted of us hiking down the 500 foot cliff to the valley, then we walked along the stream to the railroad tracks that follow along the Mississippi river.

During the walk on the tracks we came across this huge heart shape boulder.  If it hadn’t weighed over 50lbs I would have carried it back and up the 500 ft cliff we needed to hike up to get back to the top of the land where we were parked.

After our hike we went back to Tracy’s to pick up the dinner she spent all morning preparing and we headed back to our house to sit down and enjoy this fabulous meal.  Following dinner we all played Monopoly and rightfully so Tracy won!!

My son and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect day (and girls) to make our double date as special as it was.

I just noticed a small little heart rock underneath the boulder – two for 1.  Giddy-Up!!
