{"id":2481,"date":"2014-07-01T05:26:45","date_gmt":"2014-07-01T10:26:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/seeinghearts.com\/?p=2481"},"modified":"2014-07-01T05:26:45","modified_gmt":"2014-07-01T10:26:45","slug":"work-of-heart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seeinghearts.com\/work-of-heart\/","title":{"rendered":"work of heart?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On one of our really rainy days in June, Camille and I went to the Walker Art Museum to catch the last of the Hoper exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, we roamed around to check out a couple other exhibits &#8211; one in particular had some modern Art using old period dated items.\u00a0 This image was one of them &#8211; the only reason I found it interesting is the ashtray was shaped as a heart.<\/p>\n<p>Although, I must admit the coolest and most impressive exhibit was a film called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.walkerart.org\/calendar\/2014\/24-hour-screenings-_christian-marclay-clock\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Clock&#8221; by Christian Marclay<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Called \u201can abundant, magnificent work\u201d (<em>Financial Times<\/em>) and \u201cutterly transfixing\u201d (<em>Huffington Post<\/em>), Christian Marclay\u2019s <em>The Clock<\/em> unfolds on the screen in real time as a 24-hour montage sampling thousands of excerpts from the history of film that indicate the passage of\u00a0time.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss a rare opportunity to view sections of the work that take place in the late-night, overnight, and early morning hours as <em>The Clock<\/em> runs through its complete\u00a0cycle.<\/p>\n<p>It was crazy &#8211; every minute showed another clip from rare footage of a movie or TV show &#8211; where in the clip it was the exact time it was when U are watching it.\u00a0 Very clever.\u00a0 Even though Camille and I didn&#8217;t stay and watch the entire film &#8211; which is 24 hours long &#8211; I told Camille we will wait till it&#8217;s out on DVD.\u00a0\u00a0 &#8230;lol \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On one of our really rainy days in June, Camille and I went to the Walker Art Museum to catch the last of the Hoper exhibit.
