As I was sharing in my previous post, regarding how excited I get each time I discover a new heart.\u00a0 One of the memorable reactions to my excitement of a found heart came from my son and this leaf.<\/p>\n
About 8 years ago, Brett and I were just finishing taking Buckles for a walk, when we walked past a tree that was located on our boulevard right by our driveway (at our previous home). As we were walking I had spotted the leaf on a small branch a couple feet above my head.\u00a0 I was so excited, I startled Brett \u2013 apparently my voice kind of got higher in pitch when I stated,\u00a0 \u201cOh my god, I can\u2019t believe it, look at that heart Brett, look at it, the hole is shaped exactly like a heart.\u00a0 I can\u2019t believe how perfect it is!\u201d\u00a0 Brett looked at me like, what is wrong with U\u2026 the only thing he said was \u201cU know U sound like a girl right now\u201d I started to laugh, he said I\u2019m not kidding, \u201cits embarrassing\u201d I replied \u201chow\u2019s it embarrassing, we\u2019re by ourselves?\u201d he said, \u201cThank God!\u201d\u00a0 I laughed and went to get a step stool so I could grab the leaf.<\/p>\n
Later that night, we went and bought an ideal frame for it and Brett stated, \u201cU really did sound like a girl dad, but good eye for spotting it.\u201d\u00a0 The leaf has been on display in our home till today when I took it out to scan it.\u00a0 I must admit, I may treasure this leaf for it\u2019s perfect hole but it wouldn\u2019t be the same without Brett\u2019s reaction to my apparent \u201cgirl\u201d like behavior when I spotted it.\u00a0 I just love a good story!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
