Blizzard
December 2018
It was said that the first blizzard of the winter was going to hit the Twin Cities – although if U looked outside, it didn’t appear this was the case.
So when McKinlee asked Lisa and I if we could go to DQ, we said sure. To our surprise, as we pulled into DQ, it seemed we were not the only ones with this idea. There were about 6 cars in front of us in the drive-thru.
As we sat in line, we noticed a few flakes – minutes later, the snow was getting heavier and heavier.
It was now our turn to place an order, McKinlee decided she wanted to try a blizzard for the first time – M&M.
As we waited in line to pay for our order, the snow was falling so hard, it looked as if we were trapped in a snow globe. Snow was flying everywhere, we barely could see the car in front of us, more less the drive-up window 20 feet away.
On the way home it was clear the blizzard had arrived in full force. Even with all wheel drive, it took us a lot longer to get home. Right before we did, McKinlee announced, she finished her blizzard.
I asked, “how was eating your very first blizzard in a blizzard?” McKinlee laughed and said, “so good” and within the same breath she said, “Mark look”, pointing at her napkin around her cup, “a heart!”
For safety reasons, obviously we waited till we were back home before we took this pic.
