Carving Pumpkins
Carving pumpkins in our home is a tradition we really enjoy! Last October, Savannah was going to be home for a long weekend in the middle of the month, and this would be her only opportunity to carve pumpkins. It was a little earlier then we normally would carve – to assure they survive to Halloween night – however, the pumpkin carving is more for us, then for the holiday.
As U can see in this photo, I always make my top shaped as a heart. Now the reason we choose to display this photo, is for how the sunlight shining thru our plant made hearts all over the floor. It’s very strange how the sunlight is projecting between the openings of the leaves to make these hearts. We really have never seen this before or ever since.
By the way, the Pumpkins didn’t make it to Halloween. I think the squirrels had a feast, considering neither of our pumpkins had a face left when it came to Halloween day.
