Chipmunk Love
I know when Fall is upon us, when I find numerous piles of chewed up walnuts all over the deck and driveway.
Little furry friends are preparing their harvest for winter. The chipmunk that lives in our yard likes to bring his walnuts onto the deck and into the sun to crack open.
This morning, Buckles wasn’t in the mood for his milk bone – which is one of those large milk bone treats.
Buckles left it by his water dish and when I came outside about an hour later, I found the chipmunk trying to carry it away down the stairs on the deck.
It was so heavy, the milk bone kept tipping him over while he was trying to carry it.
It saw me and took off – I thought I would make it easy for him and broke the milk bone in half, and then left it there on the stairs.
I then continued onto the garage, about 3 minutes later, I came back and both the pieces were gone.
I just laughed.
When I came outside about 30 minutes later, I noticed this piece of chewed up walnut, shaped as a heart, sitting about where the milk bone was. Too cute!!
A little thank U from a friend. What comes around, goes a around!
