Norwegian Hearts

The focus of the photo is on the painted Norwegian wooden hearts.  About 7 years ago, we received an overnight package from Claudia and she had this fancy wrapped box of these Norwegian wooden hearts she found when traveling.

As I shared in previous posts, Claudia would send gifts like this to Savannah, Brett and I all the time – a lot of them were heart themed.

Either way, all her gifts were always so fancy and thoughtful and filled with love!!

The sun next to the hearts was a piece of wood that I had painted.  Originally, I was cutting down a tree at the land and the minute I saw this piece of wood, I thought it looked like the sun going down.  This is why I painted it as I did.

The little painted bird was from a broken Christmas ornament – one year our tree just fell over – smashing about 50 beautiful ornaments. ugh!

The wood chip heart, is something I found outside.

The wicker basket Savannah had made on August 1, 2002.
