As I was walking Buckles the other day – on what the weather man stated was the last morning of the season that will be below zero.  I came across this beautiful heart shape piece of ice formed by the crystallized snow surrounding it. Please note it was so cold when I took the photo – my fingers never warmed up until after I arrived back home.  It appears the weather man was right, everyday since the temp has been over 15 degrees...

A week or so ago, I placed a pile of birch wood in the newly cleaned fire place in our upstairs living room. Savannah was home from college this week – an early Spring break.  And, she loves building and having fires in the living room – so she can snuggle up next to Buckles.  Within minutes of being home, she notices how clean the fire place is and the heart knot shape on the top piece of wood. Good eye honey!!!   It’s crazy...
